The Bereavement Care Program is a way for the staff of Health Essentials to continue the journey and ministry we have started together while caring for your loved one. Our concern for you and your family does not end when patient care is no longer required.
Grief is a natural reaction to losing a loved one; it can be felt emotionally, physically, and spiritually. People grieve in different ways, and while they may be valid, not all ways of grieving are healthy and healing. The Bereavement Care Program of Health Essentials has one goal – to support your grieving in a healthy way, which will allow some measure of healing to take place in your life.
As part of the Bereavement Care Program, your needs, and your family's needs, will be evaluated by the team of Health Essentials healthcare professionals that have been with you every step of the way. Following the loss of your loved one, one of our bereavement counselors will contact you for a personal visit to help you evaluate and express your needs. Through the next thirteen months, members of our caring team will be in touch with you. You will receive ongoing information specifically designed for families facing grief and recovery. You will even receive personal cards on special days to remind you that we are always here for you, and that someone truly cares.
Though members of our staff are no longer providing care to your patient, your health, happiness, and wellbeing is still important to us! Our caring staff is here to help you in any way that they can. As we often remind families, "The same phone number still works. If you need us, we are just a phone call away!"
The Health Essentials Bereavement Care Program services include:
